”In-Season Challenge” (Pro Open & Pro Women):
Finalen i utmaningen avgörs i Gällivare.
Vinnarna i Pro Open respektive Pro Women kammar hem 10 000 kr var!

The 2026 Sweden Championship kicks off this weekend in Rattvik! I know everyone is
super excited to get on the track, and we wanted to go over some exciting plans for
during the season as well some basic information for everyone!
First off, some of the fun things:
The Karelius Cup returns for 2026 sponsored by the Carbide Podcast!
The way that it will work is that your 5 best Sport Sunday rounds of the 7 will count for
points towards the Karelius Cup. The overall winner of the Karelius Cup will take home
a fancy cup and 5,000sek. The top finishing womens racer in the Karelius Cup will also
take home a fancy cup and 5,000sek, and if a woman wins the overall she will win both
cups and 10,000sek! We thank Spencer from the Carbide Podcast for taking an interest
in Swedish snowcross and the development of our racers!
Next up is something called the “In-Season Challenge” for the Pro Open and Pro
Womens divisions! Here is how it works.
– We will take the top 16 in points from both divisions after round 4 is complete in
Ljusdal and put them into a head-to-head bracket.
– Then at the even rounds (6 th , 8 th , 10 th , and 12 th ) racers will face off against one
another during the Pro Open and Pro Womens finals. This is NOT a separate
race, during the final on Saturday Night, regardless of where you finish in the
final, if you beat who you are matched up with you move on to the next round.
– The final of the “In-Season Challenge” with the last two racers standing in each
bracket will be in Gallivare.
– The winner of both the Pro Open and Pro Womens In-Season Challenge will
each take home 10,000sek!

Now some regular housekeeping, all classes racing for points will get FOUR drops this
season. With the expanded 2026 calendar, we will this will give racers more flexibility if
they need it.
In Rattvik this weekend, on Saturday the Junior and Sport divisions will only get practice
and therefore to decide their gate pick for the heats, racers will be pulling a number out
of bucket. This will ensure a fair and truly randomized gate selection.
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you to Rattvik this weekend!
